About Gentry Links Books

Limited Editions

GL1 – The Golfers: A Grand Match played over the Links of St Andrews, 1847

The first book of the Gentry Links Trilogy is available in a special Limited Edition of just 53 copies — one for each character in the famous painting The Golfers.
Each copy includes:
- An inscription page commemorating one of the characters.
- A personalised front page naming the purchaser, or a dedication chosen by them.
- Case-bound covers in mock leather with gold engraving, a full-colour dust jacket, and a fold-out high-resolution plate of the painting.
Produced with the finest materials, these editions are crafted to be both works of art and lasting heirlooms.
Price: £300 + packing & postage.

GL2 – The First Meeting of North Berwick Golf Club, 1832

To accompany GL1, a Limited Edition of 10 copies has been created. Each commemorates one of the Original Members of North Berwick Golf Club, rather than the figures in the painting (originally known as The Fathers of North Berwick Golf Club).
Collectors may enjoy the challenge of pairing their GL2 Original Member with a corresponding GL1 character, creating a unique cross-volume collection.
The edition size is deliberately small — designed to support, not dilute, the exclusivity established by GL1.
Price: £150 + packing & postage

GL3 – Medal Day, 1894

At present, no Limited Edition is planned for GL3 (Gentry Links to the Modern Game based on Medal Day, 1894), pending completion of the Trilogy box sets.

Together, these Limited Editions form a highly exclusive strand of the Gentry Links Series — each one a tangible bridge between golf’s art, history, and enduring legacy.
